Aged Pixel

Statue Of Liberty
Description:

Colorful digital drawing of the Statue of Liberty a colossal neoclassical sculpture on Liberty Island in the middle of New York Harbor, in Manhattan, New York City. The statue, designed by Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi and dedicated on October 28, 1886, was a gift to the United States from the people of France.

The statue is of a robed female figure representing Libertas, the Roman goddess of freedom, who bears a torch and a tabula ansata upon which is inscribed the date of the American Declaration of Independence, July 4, 1776. A broken chain lies at her feet. The statue is an icon of freedom and of the United States: a welcoming signal to immigrants arriving from abroad.

Miss Liberty New York City

About Sabine:

I had a love for and was fascinated by photography since an early age only realizing that I can turn it into a profession a couple of years ago. My autodidact approach was supplemented with great workshops somewhere between New York City and Austria. I don't know why I photograph, I simply HAVE to. So much for an artist's statement.... ;)

Enjoy viewing my photos and have a great day,
- Sabine

About Patricia:

I am a self taught artist born and raised in southern California, but have currently been residing in Minnesota for the past 22 years. I have spent many years developing my art through oil, mixed media, and acrylic paint. I was mainly producing art many years ago in oil, but have recently been creating my art in acrylics and mixed media.

I have produced art to local area businesses such as the Staples MN Car Show billboard and custom shirts, and local custom art for tattoo artists that have taken first place in tattoo conventions in Minnesota.

My love of art has always been such a huge part of my life. I hope that I can inspire others, as well as grace the walls of someone’s home who can really appreciate art and what I felt when I had created my work.

I am also a published illustrator for the book 'Two Boys and the Rustlers' by Carol Elek, please click on the picture link below for infomation:

About Joseph:

JOSEPH SONDAY
Multi Media Artist, Illustrator

Joseph Sonday is a self taught artist who expressed an interest in art and exhibited natural talent as an Illustrator from a very early age. During his childhood in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, he was greatly influenced by his mother, a gifted artist and seamstress, as well as his grandmother who was an exquisite quilter.

During his teen years he accepted many private and corporate commissions. At the age of seventeen Joseph moved to Miami where he worked as an illustrator in local publishing houses. During his time in Miami he pursued a variety of artistic endeavors such as designing a line of greeting cards which eventually proved very popular on South Beach. He also developed a line of hand-crafted home décor, “BOHEMIAN CHIC “, which included wall art, decorative pillows, home accessories, and mosaic tile vessels. In Miami he worked very closely with Decorators and Designers who catered to a sophisticated discriminating clientele. He also worked with such design firms as Blu and Rothman &Associates. In 2005 he exhibited during Art Basel at Rothman & Associates Design Center.

Joseph is as comfortable with a pencil as with a brush. His understanding of color combined with his expert manipulation of texture culminates in an exciting and unique style of art. Since his relocation to Sebastian, Florida in 2007, he continues to explore new painting styles and techniques which have resulted in the development of a variety of works . Statue Of Liberty

Description:

A symbol of freedom and hope, the Statue of Liberty stands atop Liberty Island in Manhattan's New York Harbor. Designed by Frederic Auguste Bartholdi and dedicated in 1886, the statue was a gift from France in celebration of the United States centennial celebration and a symbol of friendship between the two nations. Immigrants arriving in New York via Ellis Island lined the boat to view Lady Liberty, with her torch symbolic of the light of freedom and her tablet inscribed with the date of the Declaration of Independence. She still stands as America's iconic symbol of freedom, hope and opportunity.

The Statue of Liberty, as well as Ellis Island, are now under the care of the National Park Service.
