About Donna:

I began painting when I was fifty. It all started in a very roundabout way. I began creating felt banners for my church and wanted an easier way to work on the designs, so I started using a graphic design program on my computer. This saved tons of time, not to mention tons of paper! For fun I started using the graphic design program to create pictures of rooms with mid century modern furniture. I'm just crazy about anything mid century modern! Around the same time as this I began teaching my grandchildren art, and I purchased a bunch of paint for us to use in class. One day I was playing around on the computer, creating another mid century room design, and I thought, 'I wonder if I could do this with paint?' I had to simplify the design, so I chose three elements from the room: a mid century chair, a mid century lamp, and a mid century piece of artwork. This is how my very first painting came to be. I called it my 'chair' painting. I stuck a cat in the chair because I like cats. I was excited! I loved this now hobby and could not wait to paint another piece. And another. And another. Soon I had nowhere to store these completed paintings. My husband suggested selling them, and my daughter told me about Etsy. Thus came about the creation of my Etsy Shop in February 2012.

I wanted to use my colorful palette on the Statue, but when I begun painting I couldn't. For some unknown reason I wanted to keep the statue within the tones of the original. So, the colors ended in the sky, which I feel it makes the statue pop.

Welcome !

I have been painting and drawing since I can remember. I participated in the school mural and art projects in my country. After moving to the US I replaced color pencils and brushes with a computer. It wasn't long before I graduated with a degree in Graphic Design. After a decade of working for a local firm my love for painting re-directed my life once more. I quit my day job. It was time to follow my dream and become a full time artist.

I love color and to experiment with all kinds of materials and subjects. My creative process is rather unplanned. I usually paint what my heart tells me. Sometimes it feels like spring flowers and scenic landscapes, other times it begs me to paint portraits . The freedom of painting without limitations let's me be creative, which I hope it reflects in my work.

I sell paintings locally and online. I've worked with interior designers in customs requests. Some of my pieces have travel as far as Australia and found new homes in Ireland, England and Germany among many other cities. The internet has shorten distances and given us all a way to connect. The same goes for art. I believe it creates a special bond between the artist and the buyer, both linked by the emotional and visual energy of the artwork.

About Linda:

After having spent many years in the corporate canyons of Wall Street, both as a bond trader as well as an institutional salesperson, I traded in my pinstripe suits for a photographer's vest and enthusiastically swapped the regimented corporate arena for the creative field of photography. I was excited to finally have the time to work on my interest in photography and expand my creative side which was, for so long, put on hold.

Before my recent move to the west valley in Arizona, I resided in NYC and studied at the International Center of Photography and the New School University. I have taken workshops from top photographers and comprehensive classes at both the Santa Fe Workshops and Toscana Photographic Workshop of Italy. I am a member of Professional Photographers of America, a photographic vendor for a major U.S. hotel organization and an Arbitrator for FINRA in which I serve on cases in matters of controversy relating to the securities industry.

I love to capture on film the 'essence' of foreign regions--their people, their culture, their diversity. This, I feel, helps to enrich our lives and enlighten our minds. I am presently represented by several stock agencies and have been published in National Geographic Traveler, by the UK, German, Mexican and Spanish travel industries, as well as European, Chinese and South Korean media, to name a few. Although my current fine art pieces are impressionistic in style, my photographic eye and wide range of interests do not limit my 'vision of the world' to any one subject as you will see.

Ylli Haruni was born in Albania. Since little boy he loved to draw and when 14 years old he was admitted in the art school 'Liceu Artistic' in capital of Albania, in Tirana where he was studying vision art for 4 years. After that Ylli attended the academy of Art in Tirana for 4 more years and graduated it in 1976. More than 13 pieces in the Albanian National Art Museum.

Three times awarded from the Albanian Parliament.

Became a well known artist in Athens with his works in Metropolis Art Gallery LTD from 1993 on.

In 1994, comes to reside and work in United States.
